One might mistakenly think that some places are more populated by animals than by us humans.

Dogs and cats appear to make a good match to complete a picture that does not lack peculiarities.

At first glance it even looks as if those animals are happy. Some undoubtedly like to bask in the blazing sun, while others like to stretch their paws every now and then rushing after a car.

 

Of course we mean abandoned animals, stray dogs and cats born in the shade of a garbage bin. Those animals don’t have it easy. Although some volunteers feed them from time to time, the level of mortality, disease and suffering for our four-legged companions is intolerable.

 

It is also all about the image that our region offers to visitors.

Let alone the plague caused by hundreds of animals too often confusing sidewalk and litter.

 

It is the intention of our association to stimulate, encourage and educate local residents to animal welfare; first by highlighting those who, with meager resources, try every day to save animals, such as the association "Cani da Salvare" in Atina and "animalidasalvarevalcomino"

 

Those associations cure animals, sterilize them and try to find them a home.

They are animal shelters where you can adopt a friend for a lifetime.

 

We hope, within the years to come, to be able to add our modest contribution to this noble cause.
