In the beginning, few believed in this ambitious project: to bring Chiesa San Marco back to life. Yet, despite doubts, criticism, and moments of discouragement, we decided to persevere, driven by the conviction that this project held a piece of Atina's soul.
Thanks to unwavering collective commitment, a Facebook group, a petition, hundreds of letters, and relentless work, a decisive milestone was reached: in 2023, the long-awaited reconstruction site finally began.
With an impressive funding of €300,000, secured from the Ministry of Culture and Heritage in Italy through the joint efforts of the Euratina association and its supporters, this landmark project has become a tangible reality.
But this is more than just a reconstruction—it’s an effort to preserve and pass on our history. Atina’s past is not merely a memory; it is a foundation that nourishes its future. This project, a symbol of love and hope, invites each of us to take part in this collective adventure and to continue supporting this vision in the long term.
